My name is Raygan Solotki (Ray for short). I am the Executive Director of Green Iglu, and I have been working in remote food security and food sovereignty since 2015. Longer if you consider I have always been passionate about my own food security and grew up on the land in the Cowichan Valley on Vancouver Island, BC!  I started at Green Iglu in 2021, and have brought with me my desire to make food security something that is attainable through education, empowerment and community engagement. My hope is that you get the most you can from the Green Skills Academy course we are offering in partnership with Relay Education; and understand this is living education - you get what you put into it, and it is continuous and lifelong. Share your experiences. Ask for help. We are building a community of people nationwide to work together!

Hello Everyone,

I'm Abdelwahed Ladham from the beautiful and diverse country, Morocco. My fascination for our planet and dedication to its sustenance have led me to specialize in Environmental Science. Sustainability has been my primary drive, and this journey has taught me that there couldn't possibly be a better display ground for its principles than agriculture itself.

I hail from Agadir, a city renowned for its abundant agriculture, located on the coast of the Atlantic Ocean. The principle of sustainability, I believe, doesn't ring truer anywhere else than in the rich farmlands and labyrinthine souks of Agadir. Here, every household cherishes the bounties of verdant fields that symbolize our shared ties with the environment.

With a steadfast determination to tread on the path of sustainable living, and on behalf of my community that thrives on its agricultural activities, I am excited to be a part of the Sustainable Agriculture Program by the Green Skills Academy. I eagerly look forward to this excellent opportunity for a rich exchange of knowledge and ideas which will help Galvanize me further towards our shared goal of sustainable development.

Looking forward to an informative and engaging journey with you all.

Best,
Abdelwahed
