Are our cucumbers yellow because of cross pollination? Or not enough sunlight in the dome?

-from Tammy in Mississauga First Nation

Cucumbers that mature into yellow fruit is most likely due to over-maturity and will taste bitter. Harvesting them according the their harvest time on their seed package is the best way the determine this time frame. It could also be that they have received too much water, they like water but not too much either. They prefer more shade than sun so not enough sunlight shouldn't be the problem, in fact they do better when they are under their own leaves for protection.
